Most Monday mornings volunteers from the Menai Wildflower Group assist horticulturist Cris to propagate a wide spectrum of native species to regenerate the tip site.
The Tip Nursery is owned by SITA Environmental Solutions. In return for our help they allow our group to distribute plants to schools and other community groups and use the facilities to propagate plants for our own use. The Tip Nursery is fully equipped with a glass house that has heated propagation beds plus an igloo and shade house all of which have automated watering systems.
